Well after my previous post I just had to go looking for a video of Buddy Holly by Weezer and there was a number of hits from google shame that for some reason I was not allowed to view them in my country.  Oh well here is a couple of links that I found even one with the orginial from the Windows 95 CD:

While I was thinking about this I was sure that Weezer were on Guitar Hero III as well.  Another google search and low and behold they were with the track ‘My Name is Jonas’ and the number of hits I got for videos of people playing it, but here is one of them:
